New Delhi [India], December 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, distributed over 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits via video conferencing. He congratulated the new appointees and extended his best wishes to them and their families.
During his address, PM Modi emphasized that the government’s top priority is to harness the potential and talent of India’s youth. He said, “I have had many professional discussions with the youth of India in Kuwait, and today, my first program here is with the youth of the country. My heartfelt congratulations to all of you.”
The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts through the Rozgar Mela, an initiative aimed at creating job opportunities. “Over the past 10 years, we have been working to provide government jobs across various ministries, departments, and institutions. Today, over 71,000 youth have received appointment letters. In the last 1.5 years alone, our government has provided permanent government jobs to nearly 10 lakh youth, which is a record in itself,” he said.
PM Modi noted that, unlike previous administrations, no such dedicated mission to provide permanent government jobs existed, and that jobs today are being provided with full transparency and honesty.
Emphasizing the role of youth in shaping the country’s future, PM Modi said, “The development of any nation is driven by the strength and leadership of its youth. Our vision for a developed India by 2047 centers around the youth. Policies like Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Startup India, Standup India, and Digital India were all designed with the youth at their core.”
He further pointed out that India’s evolving policies in sectors like space, manufacturing, and defense are benefiting young people, who are at the forefront of the country’s progress. “Our youth are now filled with self-confidence and are excelling in every field—from start-ups to sports, from mobile manufacturing to renewable energy.”
The Rozgar Mela, PM Modi said, is a key step in providing the youth with meaningful opportunities to contribute to nation-building and empower themselves for a brighter future.
