Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBI Airport) will celebrate its centenary on December 21, marking 100 years of its establishment as a pioneering hub of Indian aviation. Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu will inaugurate the grand event, which will also feature several prominent dignitaries.

Established in 1924 as Dum Dum Airport, NSCBI Airport has been a cornerstone of India’s aviation history. Key milestones include:

- 1995: Renamed as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport.

Spanning an area of 1,566.3 acres and equipped with a built-up area of 230,000 square meters, the airport can serve 26 million passengers annually and connects to 49 domestic and 15 international destinations.
