  • Adequate measures are being implemented to handle the anticipated influx of passengers during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
    • Special holding areas and additional ticket counters will be set up.
    • Other facilities to ensure seamless travel for passengers are also being arranged.

    • 15 gates are already completed; the remaining are expected to be ready by December.

Security Enhancements

The Uttar Pradesh government and local authorities are implementing robust security measures to ensure the safety and comfort of devotees during the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela:

  • Mounted Police Deployment:
    • 130 horses, including American “Balm Blood” and England’s “Thoroughbred” breeds, alongside Indian breeds, are being trained for crowd control.
    • 70 horses have already arrived, with the remaining expected soon.
    • The horses undergo six months of rigorous training to prepare for large gatherings and traffic management.
    • Foreign breeds are favored for their sharp vision and intelligence, enhancing surveillance and rider efficiency.
