‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Greenlit for Seventh Season

NBC has officially confirmed the renewal of The Kelly Clarkson Show for a seventh season. The Emmy-winning daytime talk show, hosted by Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson, has become a major success since its debut in 2019, cementing its position as a top-rated afternoon program.

The announcement, made by the NBC-Owned Television Stations group, marks another milestone for the popular show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Kelly Clarkson Show has attracted an average of 1.2 million viewers per day in the 2024-25 season.

Executive producer and showrunner Alex Duda, along with Clarkson, who also serves as an executive producer, continue to steer the show’s success. The program has earned significant accolades, winning 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including multiple wins for Best Talk Series and Best Talk Series Host.

In addition to Emmy wins, the show has received nominations from prestigious organizations such as the Critics’ Choice Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, and the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Despite facing challenges in recent years, particularly following reports of toxic workplace allegations, Clarkson addressed the issues openly. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she discussed the changes implemented in season five to improve the work environment. “How do we fix this? How do we be better and better examples? So we’re already doing that, and adding on to what we already had planned initially, just to make sure everybody feels included and a part of the team,” Clarkson shared.

The show’s continued success and Clarkson’s leadership have solidified The Kelly Clarkson Show as a dominant force in the daytime talk show space.
