Los Angeles [US], December 16: Monday became a special day for ‘Superman’ fans as filmmaker James Gunn shared exciting updates about his upcoming film.
Gunn released the first motion poster for the movie, which pays tribute to Christopher Reeve’s legendary Superman. The poster features David Corenswet as the iconic superhero, soaring through the sky. His costume’s reds, blues, and yellows blend into the background in a dynamic, high-speed effect, giving the illusion of Corenswet flying at full speed. The motion poster is accompanied by the tagline “Look up.”
Warner Bros. also dropped a brief teaser featuring the Superman logo, confirming that the official trailer will be released on Thursday. Gunn’s “Superman,” now titled Superman: Legacy, is set to hit theaters on July 11, marking the first film under the new DC Studios led by Gunn and Peter Safran.
The film’s cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Maria Gabriela de Faria as The Engineer. Other notable members of the ensemble include Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Sean Gunn, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion.
