Chinni Krishna, Telugu Film Writer, Defends Allu Arjun And Labels His Arrest As A ‘Fabricated’ Case

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], December 14: Allu Arjun was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on December 13, following his arrest in connection with a tragic incident that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident, which took place outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, led to the death of a woman named Revathi and the injury of her son during a chaotic crowd scene as the actor arrived for the screening.

Authorities allege that Allu Arjun’s actions, particularly waving to the crowd from the sunroof of his vehicle, provoked the crowd, leading to a stampede-like situation. His security team was also accused of pushing the crowd to clear a path, contributing to the fatal accident. Despite being warned about the large gathering, the police claim the actor’s team failed to act, allowing the situation to deteriorate for over two hours while Allu Arjun remained inside the theater.

The actor was released on a personal bond of Rs 50,000, though his lawyer criticized the delay in his release despite the High Court’s order. Allu Arjun, who was detained at Chanchalguda Central Jail, thanked his supporters upon his release, expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased, and emphasized the accidental nature of the incident. He also reaffirmed his support for the bereaved family.

Writer Chinni Krishna and several political figures, including Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KTR, defended the actor, claiming the case was “fabricated.” The incident has sparked widespread discussion about the safety risks posed by large public gatherings and celebrity appearances.
