UP CM Yogi Adityanath Reviews Mahakumbh 2025 Preparations, Inaugurates Jan Ashray Sthal

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Jan Ashray Sthal in Prayagraj on Saturday as part of extensive preparations for the Mahakumbh 2025, which will begin on January 13, 2025, and conclude on February 26, 2025, coinciding with Mahashivratri.

Earlier in the day, CM Yogi chaired a meeting at the Circuit House in Prayagraj to review progress on the ongoing arrangements for the grand religious event, expected to attract 45 crore visitors from 75 countries.

Key Features of Mahakumbh 2025 Preparations

  1. World-Class Accommodations:
    • Modern huts and luxury tents are being constructed in Prayagraj to provide a comfortable stay for devotees.
    • Tents will offer accommodations in four categories: Villa, Maharaja, Swiss Cottage, and Dormitory, with prices ranging from ₹1,500 to ₹35,000 per day. Additional charges of ₹4,000 to ₹8,000 will apply for extra guests (excluding dormitories).
  2. Floating Jetty at Sangam:
    • A special floating jetty is being built to enable devotees to take comfortable holy dips and access changing facilities with ease.
  3. Healthcare Infrastructure:
    • A 100-bed hospital is nearing completion at the Parade Ground in Mahakumbh Nagar to ensure health services for devotees and saints.
    • Specialist doctors will be deployed to provide round-the-clock care.
  4. Sustainable Transport Solutions:
    • An online booking system for electric rickshaws (e-rickshaws) and e-autos will be launched on December 15, 2023.
    • Devotees can book these eco-friendly vehicles through a dedicated app, similar to Uber or Ola, as part of the “Green Mahakumbh” initiative aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of the event.

Significance of Mahakumbh 2025

The festival will commence with the Paush Purnima Snan on January 13, 2025, and conclude with the Mahashivratri Snan on February 26, 2025. With its ambitious plans for infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainability, the Mahakumbh 2025 aims to set new benchmarks in organizing large-scale religious events.

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of ensuring smooth arrangements and creating a memorable experience for devotees, stating that Mahakumbh 2025 would reflect Uttar Pradesh’s commitment to both tradition and modernity.
