Washington [US], December 7: Comedian Kabir Singh, who gained recognition for his performance on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 16, has tragically passed away at the age of 39.
The news was shared by his close friend and fellow comedian, Jeremy Curry, on Facebook. According to TMZ, authorities have not yet determined the cause of death and are awaiting toxicology results.
“It’s with deep regret that I announce the passing of Kabir Singh. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, and this is the hardest post I’ve ever had to make,” Curry wrote. “Services will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 8:30 am at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Please keep his family and fiancée in your thoughts and prayers. I love you, bro.”
Following the announcement, tributes poured in from fans and friends, recalling Singh’s humor, talent, and kind-hearted nature. Comedian Gabe Lopez shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, calling Singh his “little brother.”
“One of the sad facts of life is that as you get older, life starts taking things away. Kabir was so much more than a friend; he was my little brother,” Lopez wrote. “He made me laugh as much as he frustrated me. He was a generational talent with a huge heart. He gave 100 hugs to everyone he loved—and he loved everyone. I’ll have a ‘shotty shot’ of Jack Daniels in your honor at The Dirty. Keep an eye on Kim and your family, little brother. And please say hi to Ralphie for me. I love you, Kabir. I’m going to miss you, buddy…”
