Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 26: As India celebrates its 76th Republic Day, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media to share their patriotic fervor and heartfelt wishes for the nation.
Actor Sonu Sood marked the occasion by sharing pictures from his recent meeting with the Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers. In one photo, he was seen holding the Indian flag while standing alongside BSF soldiers, while in another, he saluted the flag. For the occasion, Sonu sported a ‘Fateh’ hoodie and wished his followers a ‘Happy Republic Day.’
Veteran actor Anil Kapoor also extended his wishes, sharing a snap from his upcoming film Fighter, which stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
Patriotic actor Sunny Deol, known for his roles in films like Border and Heroes, posted a picture with a group of children while holding the Indian flag. He was accompanied by his son, Rajveer Deol, making the moment even more special.
Actress Shilpa Shetty celebrated the day by posting a video on Instagram, where she waved the national tricolor, wishing her fans a “Happy Republic Day.”
Sharman Joshi also shared his Republic Day wishes while reminiscing about his iconic film Rang De Basanti, which marked its 19th anniversary on the same day. Directed by Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, the film starred Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Siddharth, Atul Kulkarni, and Soha Ali Khan.
This year’s Republic Day celebrations were particularly special, highlighting 75 years since the enactment of the Indian Constitution and emphasizing “Jan Bhagidari” (people’s participation). The grand parade at Kartavya Path blended India’s rich cultural diversity, military strength, unity, and progress. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
