Brutal Tuitions-Route Robbery: 4 Juveniles Apprehended For Stabbing Teen Over ₹350

In a chilling incident highlighting the rise of juvenile delinquency in the national capital, a 17-year-old student was robbed for ₹350 and stabbed in the Welcome area of Northeast Delhi on the night of December 15, 2025.

The Delhi Police have since apprehended four Children in Conflict with Law (CCLs), aged between 14 and 16, in connection with the brutal assault.

The Incident: Attack on the Way from Tuition

The victim, a resident of Kabir Nagar, was returning home from his tuition classes around 10:00 PM when he was intercepted by a group of five people.

  • The Confrontation: The group threatened the teenager at knifepoint, demanding money.
  • The Violence: Despite the victim surrendering his cash (₹350), the attackers stabbed him before fleeing the scene.
  • Hospitalization: The teen was rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where the authorities alerted the Welcome Police Station about the stab injury.

Police Action and Legal Charges

A team led by Inspector Rupesh Khatri, SHO of Welcome Police Station, launched an immediate probe. Following local intelligence and evidence gathering, four of the five suspects were identified and apprehended.

The police have invoked the new criminal code, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, filing the following charges:

  • Section 109(1): Attempt to murder.
  • Section 309(6): Robbery with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt.
  • Section 311: Robbery or dacoity with a deadly weapon.
  • Section 3(5): Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention.

Recovery: During questioning, the juveniles admitted to the crime. Police have successfully recovered the knife used in the commission of the offence from their possession.

A Growing Concern: Juvenile Crime in Delhi

This incident adds to a series of recent crimes involving minors in the Welcome and North-East Delhi belt. Authorities are currently investigating whether these CCLs are part of a larger organized group or if the crime was a random act of desperation. The search for the fifth accomplice is still ongoing.
