Los Angeles (US), December 18 : The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has unveiled the shortlists for 10 categories for the 97th Academy Awards, set to take place on March 2, 2025. These categories include Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, International Feature, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Score, Original Song, Animated Short, Live-Action Short, Sound, and Visual Effects.
Among the standout films leading the way are Dune: Part Two, Emilia Perez, Wicked, Gladiator II, Nosferatu, The Apprentice, The Wild Robot, and Blitz, each securing spots across multiple categories.
Key dates for the upcoming Oscars include the first round of voting, which will take place from January 8 to 12, 2025. Nominees will be announced on January 17, and final voting will occur from February 11 to 18, 2025.
