2025 Emmy Awards Set For Live Telecast On September 14, Return To Traditional Schedule

Washington [US], March 6: The 2025 Emmy Awards have officially announced the date for their live telecast, bringing the prestigious ceremony back to its usual September time slot. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 14, on CBS and will also be available for streaming on Paramount Plus.

The Television Academy has confirmed that the event will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with the broadcast set to begin at 8 p.m. ET, running for over three hours. This year marks the second consecutive return to the traditional September schedule, after a one-time shift to January 2024 due to the Hollywood writers and actors’ strikes.

Nominations for the 2025 Emmy Awards will be announced on July 15. The host and producers for the ceremony have yet to be revealed. The live telecast will follow the pre-taped Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which are scheduled for September 6 and 7.

Along with airing on CBS, the ceremony will also be streamed live on Paramount Plus for subscribers who have access to their local CBS affiliate through the service. The broadcast will also be available on demand.

At the 2024 Emmys, FX’s ‘Shogun’ dominated the drama categories, while ‘Hacks’ surprised audiences by winning best comedy. Additionally, ‘Baby Reindeer’ secured four awards, including best limited or anthology series.
