131 Pakistani Nationals Expelled From 12 Countries For Legal Violations, Including Drug Offenses And Illegal Entry

A total of 131 Pakistani nationals have been deported from 12 different countries due to various legal violations, including drug-related offenses, illegal entry, and employment rule violations, as reported by The News International. The deportations were carried out by authorities in several nations, with some individuals facing immediate removal upon arrival.

According to immigration sources, Saudi Arabia was the leading country for these deportations, sending back 74 Pakistani nationals. They were accused of being involved in drug trafficking and violating employment agreements by leaving jobs without prior notice. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) also deported several Pakistani nationals, citing charges of illegal entry, theft, and drug-related offenses.

In one instance, a person was denied entry upon arrival and immediately deported, while another individual was expelled from the UAE after allegations of attempting self-harm. Other deportations took place in Oman, Cambodia, Bahrain, Azerbaijan, Iraq, and Mexico. Additionally, two people suspected of human smuggling were sent back from Mauritania and Senegal.

Upon their return to Pakistan, 16 deportees were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation. Six others were transferred to law enforcement agencies in various cities for additional inquiry.

In a separate matter, immigration authorities at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi prevented 86 passengers from leaving the country for various reasons. Among them, 30 Umrah pilgrims traveling to Saudi Arabia were offloaded for lacking advance hotel reservations and sufficient financial proof. Seven young passengers holding student visas for Cyprus, the UK, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan were also denied boarding. Other passengers holding tourist visas for Saudi Arabia, Oman, Azerbaijan, Malawi, Congo, Bahrain, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, and Zimbabwe were barred from travel.

Furthermore, individuals blacklisted from working in Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia were prevented from boarding flights as well.
